For the past eight years, Joshua House has hosted a 3-on-3 Street Basketball Tournament in downtown Tyrone. With commercials on ESPN, MTV, and Cartoon Network, HoopsFest’s reputation and notoriety has grown to the point of becoming Joshua House’s biggest fundraiser and central PA’s biggest 3-on-3 tournament. Even more so, HoopsFest has become a great community event as we have partnered with a large number of local organizations: The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, Tyrone Merchants Association, On Target Archers, The National Guard, et al. These partners organize sidewalk sales, climbing walls, video game trailers, booths, Joshua House Juniors is an elementary aged children's ministry. In addition to meeting every Sunday night from 6-7:30 pm, Juniors offers summer camps and Family Fun nights. Joshua House runs several Adult Sports Leagues ranging from Basketball to Hockey to Football. Christian Youth Basketball League (CYBL) gives students who are too busy to play for their local high school a chance to learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, and basketball. There is a team for all skill levels and it is one of our most popular programs in Joshua house. |
